Snow enthusiasts of all kinds and abilities have flocked here since its first skiers in 1920 who were so keen that they arrived on foot, baggage taken by horse-drawn sleighs. The resort has come a long way since then, and with 280 snow canons, you are guaranteed snow all winter. Your pass will also let you explore the Großeck-Speiereck ski region, just 15 kilometres from the resort.

Obertauern is best suited for intermediate skiers and snowboarders, but it provides ample terrain for beginners and expert skiers too.
