Sestriere offers 146 slopes of different difficulty - wide, narrow, steep and not so steep. The majority of the slopes are covered by the artificial snow making system, so if the natural snow shouldn't suffice, you are still guaranteed quality snow!
In 2006, Sestriere was the alpine centre for the Winter Olympic Games and Winter Paralympic Games which is shown in the well-prepared and well-constructed slopes. What's more, the Alpine World Cup is often held in Sestriere which gives the area yet another reason to keep improving and you a great reason to visit the resort!
The area of Via Lattea connects Sestriere with the neighbouring Sauze d'Oulx, Sansicaria, Cesana, Pagelato, Claviere and French Montgenévre. So if you want to you can actually ski in both Italy and France the same day!

Near the meeting point of the ski school you find beginner-friendly pists and a small snow park, everything within close distance to the city centre. This makes it easy for you to bring and pick up your children from the ski school, and allows you to enjoy a cheerful and great day of skiing in the sun.
The two towers
When looking at the village from a distance, the view is dominated by two towers. They are hotels with rooms all the way around, guaranteeing an amazing panorama view of the area. The spectacular buildings give Sestriere a distinctive appearance which often appears on postcards from the area.
If an entire day of skiing is not enough for you, Sestriere offers night skiing on lit-up slopes! And if it is enough for you, there are plenty of restaurants and bars in the village that invite you to cosy aprés-skiing. Especially during weekends, when the Italian skiers are visiting Sestriere, there is a great chance of joining a party that will last all night long!
