The ski area Werfenweng

The area's 10 lifts and Ikarus gondola have the capacity to transport 10,000 people per hour to the 25 kilometers of piste that surround Werfenweng. The slopes are nicely prepared in the morning and if there's no natural snowfall during the night, the snow cannons can ensure new fresh snow every day.

Werfenweng offers a 6 kilometre giant slalom course for the advanced who want to try out some competitive skiing, and also provides a special area for children and beginners who here can move about safely and securely, with or without a ski instructor.

Village life and activities

If you prefer not to have skiing boots on, there still are plenty of other activities you can attend to in Werfenweng. You can find both, paragliding and a six kilometre toboggan run or just go for a walk in the city or through the countryside.

When night falls, you can find traditional food and a cozy Alpine atmosphere in the city's restaurants. If you prefer beer over water, small après-ski bars can also be found in Werfenweng.
